Viktor Gyokeres' Sporting CP teammates appear to have accepted he will not be at the club for the 2025/26 season amid transfer links to Arsenal.
The Sweden international is expected to seal a move in the summer trading period with Manchester United and the Gunners linked to acquiring his signature. An agreement regarding his future was said to have been reached earlier this year which allows him to leave for a set fee.
. With Arsenal in need of a striker, potentially signing one that has just scored 53 goals from 51 appearances at that price, is something that will be very difficult to turn down.

Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko are alternatives but sporting director Andrea Berta is a big fan of Gyokeres. Having won several trophies in the last few years, he could finally be the signing that takes Mikel Arteta's to glory.
The latest of those was secured this past Saturday as a 2-0 victory over Vitoria saw them crowned Portuguese league champions on the final day for the second consecutive campaign.
Despite that dramatic triumph, Sporting still have one game to play with that a cup final against Benfica taking place this weekend.
As such, a number of players have been fulfilling media duties with the topic of Gyokeres' future discussed on several occasions.
"I did and so did the whole squad,". "He says he's not a fortune teller.
"We still have the Portuguese Cup against Benfica to play. I have a very good relationship with him, but I don't talk about it with him."
Francisco Trincao was another that spoke about the 26-year-old during an interview on . Alongside comments about their challenging season after Ruben Amorim left for Manchester United, he joked that in order to keep him at the club he will, "try to lock Gyokeres in the gym".
Such a drastic admission, though it is in jest, certainly suggests there is a general acceptance that Gyokeres' final game at Sporting will be the cup final.
Whether his next club will be Arsenal remains to be seen though, as Man United plan to plot a move for him after the Europa League final with their chances of signing him sure to increase if they win.
Premier League champions Liverpool are the latest club to have been linked with Arne Slot not exactly having a natural and elite-level No.9 at the top of his team.
Gyokeres was quizzed about his future after Sporting's defeat of Vitoria and said: ""t's football, I'm still here. "I don't know what's going to happen. Nobody can predict the future."
