An Escape To The Country duo were faced with a significant choice this afternoon.

The couple chose to relocate from north west London to Buckinghamshire, seeking a more tranquil existence away from the capital's hustle and bustle. With a close-knit family, they were on the hunt for a place where they could host gatherings, as well as a home that would cater to their love of cooking and growing their own veggies.

Xiaoli expressed her desire to engage in more cycling and yoga, and to get involved with the local community, while Sharad was eager to put his DIY skills to use, prompting Xiaoli to joke that he'd need her assistance.

With a budget of £750,000, they were in search of a detached character property boasting four bedrooms, a spacious kitchen, and a separate dining room. A generous garden was also on their wish list.

Their first stop was a house in Bierton, Buckinghamshire, listed at £650,000. It was a charming cottage, featuring a custom kitchen diner and three reception rooms, along with three bedrooms, reports .

While the price tag impressed the couple, they weren't entirely sold on the property. The next house, located in Kingston Blount, Oxfordshire, came with a hefty price tag of £775,000.

The detached property ticked their box for a period-style dwelling. It offered three receptions and a modern kitchen diner, plus four bedrooms. However, it didn't quite hit the mark for them, leading them to explore the next option.

The mystery home in Oakley, Buckinghamshire, mesmerised the couple to the brink of sealing the deal; with a hefty price tag of £750,000, it boasted a Victorian aesthetic despite being just two decades old. The abode came complete with a capacious lounge, trio of sleeping quarters and room for the car.

Excitement bubbled for the lovebirds over the house, as Sharad disclosed: "I think compared to the other houses we've seen, this is the best of the three. There's no changes to be done. We can just pay for it and move in and start life again.

"The house was perfect. Our next step is going to contact the estate agent and hopefully come and visit the place again and bring my father and brother up to have a look at it as well. It's a very big decision for us."
