Britney Spears has revealed she was left without eyelashes after a scary incident at home.
The Toxic hitmaker, 42, shared with her Instagram fans a harrowing tale of how she narrowly escaped a potentially fatal accident six months ago, blaming her security for not properly lighting her fireplace. Britney recounted to her 42million followers in a video where she adopted a British twang: "I was in my room, I turned the fire on, and all of the sudden, it blew up in my face."
She revealed that this wasn't the first time her fireplace had acted up, noting that she typically has her security team "come in and light it for" her.
Continuing her story, Britney said: "But this time, I just threw the whole thing in there, and it literally blew into my face... it took all my eyelashes off, my eyebrows and see these baby bangs? These are from... it sizzling all my hair."
The pop icon also expressed her fear that she had suffered severe burns, thinking she might need to rush to the "go to the emergency room" because her "face was, like, on fire". Describing the intense discomfort she felt following the fiery mishap, she stated: "It hurt to touch my phone. It hurt to put ice on my face."
"It hurt to have anything touch it. This happened for, like, six or seven hours. "The pain never went away. It was so, so, so bad." To cope with the agony, Britney mentioned she resorted to taking the painkiller Tylenol to get some sleep, admitting: "Yeah, it was really bad."
However, she assured her followers that she's now recovered, concluding with a positive: "All is good now." Previously, Britney had opened up about another fire incident last year when she accidentally set her home gym ablaze with candles, later showing her Instagram audience the charred aftermath.
Britney split up with her husband last year and filed for divorce just over a year into their marriage. Two months after the separation, Britney released her tell-all memoir titled The Woman In Me.
Despite the singer calling Sam Asghari a "gift from God" in the book, he's revealed he will never read it. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor said: "I did not read the book because I was there." He also touched on his commitment to privacy, hinting at an NDA and stating: "If my life is private, it's private. That's something I'm always going to respect, regardless of any agreement or not." He added, "It's just the values that I have."
