Coleen Rooney's sons played sweet role in her decision to sign up to I'm A Celebrity

It has been reported that the 38-year-old WAG will outstrip Nigel Farage's fee of £1.5 million from last year, when she heads to the Australian jungle. ITV bosses are hoping that she will spill the beans on life with , who is currently managing Plymouth Argyle, and her high profile Wagatha Christie court case and fallout with .

A source close to Coleen has told that her and Wayne's sons Kai, 14, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six, have been instrumental in her going Down Under as they have enjoyed watching previous series together. With Wayne back in the UK after managing in the United States and the Rooneys having "an incredibly tight-knit family, who can help out with childcare while she is away," the time is right for Coleen to venture into the jungle camp.

Hinting at the sweet role Coleen's sons played in her signing up to the ITV show, the source told the media outlet: “Her boys will love watching her on the show. She isn’t a fan of bugs and creepy-crawlies or sleeping outdoors, but she is up for a challenge and has great determination.”

Coleen will follow in the footsteps of her great rival Rebekah, who is the wife of striker Jamie Vardy, when she steps out into the jungle. Coleen will hope that she gets to spend longer in the camp than Rebekah, who was voted out by the public reasonably early in the process, when she appeared in the 2017 series.

A telly source told The Sun on Sunday: “I’m A Celeb bosses have pulled off a huge coup ­getting Coleen for the jungle this year and the team are thrilled to have her on board... Coleen has a huge fanbase and she won massive plaudits for her classy handling of the Wagatha Christie case."

Coleen accused Rebekah in a social media post of feeding stories about her into the media, which kicked off a libel court case with Rebekah, who was ordered to pay 90 per cent of Coleen's legal fees after she lost the infamous 2020 libel case. This week, Rebekah was ordered to pay a ahead of the full amount owed being decided.
