Crystal Palace have vowed to take the 'strongest possible action' against anyone proven to have racially abused Daichi Kamada during their defeat to .
Kamada was sent off late into Saturday's game at Selhurst Park for a reckless tackle on Kenny Tete. As he walked down the tunnel, Kamada was allegedly subjected to racist abuse.
The Japanese international arrived at the Eagles in the summer on a free transfer from Lazio. But it has been a disappointing season for Oliver Glasner's men, who now find themselves in the relegation zone.
Saturday's defeat to the Cottagers, coupled with Ipswich's win over has sent Palace into the bottom three. The game was also marred by events as Kamada walked off the pitch, with Palace now releasing a firm statement on the incident.

It read: "We are aware of a report that Daichi Kamada was racially abused during the match against Fulham and we are investigating the allegation. The Club has a zero tolerance policy towards any form of abuse and we will take the strongest possible action against anyone identified as the perpetrator."
Kamada had started the game in one of Palace's two No.10 roles behind striker Jean-Philippe Mateta. But it was Fulham who were the dominant team and Emile Smith Rowe put the visitors ahead in first-half injury time.
The Englishman raced onto Raul Jimenez's pass and fired a left-foot effort past Dean Henderson. Harry Wilson made sure of the win with seven minutes to go by firing low past Henderson from inside the box.
Before Wilson's goal, Kamada had been sent off to cap off a miserable day for Palace. And boss Glasner admitted that his side are struggling for form and morale following a sixth defeat.
“Fulham were the better team. They were very aggressive, played very direct with a lot of pace in their attacking. Then we made too many mistakes. When we had situations maybe to come back into the game, we didn't take them," he said.
"Then, the red card: again, a mistake we made… inaccurate passing, a tackle in their half, and then a red card. Then, one goal down, playing against a very good Fulham side. I think it's the first game this season, maybe, where we deserved to lose the game.
“We have to accept it, and I don't look for an excuse that we missed some players. I think the team that played today could have done better in many situations. I think we didn't have this determination in possession. We played too slow, we were always looking, and looking, and looking.
“Overall, if you make so many mistakes, this means you lose more and more your confidence. We had our situations, and then with the red card, to be honest, it looked like the game was over.”
