Dave Grohl breaks cover after Foo Fighters forced into hiatus over his secret love child

Dave Grohl has been pictured for the first time since his dramatic love child revelation.

The Foo Fighters icon left fans and his family speechless last month when he took to social media to announce that he had welcomed another child. However, the child was not to his wife, Jordyn Blum. Instead, Dave, 55, revealed that he had fathered a child behind Blum's back during an affair.

Now, the star has been spotted out and about in Los Angeles as he and his family prepare to celebrate Halloween at the end of the month. Dave and his daughter, Ophelia, 10, were seen leaving Spirit Halloween in LA as they carried a hoard of decorations ready to add some spook to their home.

Dave appeared relaxed as he stepped out wearing a grey t-shirt, a pair of black cargo shorts and a baseball cap, with his famous long hair slicked back into a bun. He completed his look with a pair of black Vans. His daughter also appeared to be going for a relaxed look as she rocked an oversized black t-shirt, a pair of jeans and sandals.

The pair were seen packing their spooky goods into the back of his truck after pushing them through the parking area of the store before whizzing off, in pictures obtained by MailOnline. Dave and Ophelia's outing comes after it was claimed the Foo Fighters had been forced into an indefinite hiatus over his affair scandal.

A source told The Sun: "The band need time to be with their families and focus on regrouping." The insider added: "It's been a turbulent few years, with the loss of their best friend, drummer Taylor Hawkins, the death of Dave's mum and now the birth of his new child. He wants to be at home and focus on earning back the trust of his family." The source said that a hiatus is the best thing for the band "collectively".

The band ended up pulling out of the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with just three days' notice. Having been billed for the Sunday night, the band announced the news on X on Thursday. A statement read: "Foo Fighters will no longer be appearing at this weekend's Soundside Music Festival. Please check the festival website for more information."

Last month, Dave took to Instagram to confess to cheating on his wife and fathering a second child with an unknown woman. In a bombshell statement, he wrote: "I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness."

Grohl added: "We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together. Dave." He also switched off the comments on the post, meaning fans could not directly react to his bombshell. Je has been married to model and TV producer Jordyn Blum, 48, since 2003. Together, the couple share three daughters; Violet Maye, 18, who was born in 2006, followed by Harper Willow, 15, in 2009 and Ophelia Saint in 2014.
