The Premier League season is nearly upon us and anticipation is growing ahead of an important year for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal. After missing out on the title in each of the last three seasons, the Gunners are dreaming of finally ending their long wait to be crowned champions of England.
Arteta and Andrea Berta have been busy throughout the transfer window with six first-team players through the door. Viktor Gyokeres is certainly the headline arrival with Arsenal winning the battle to sign the striker, who scored 97 goals in 102 games for Sporting CP.
Noni Madueke has also bolstered the Gunners' options in attack after joining from Chelsea. Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard have replaced Thomas Partey and Jorginho in midfield whileCristhian Mosquera has become the latest versatile defender to move to north London.

Kepa Arrizabalaga has also joined fellow Spaniard David Raya in the goalkeeper department. Despite all the spending, there is still hope that Arsenal add at least one more player to their squad before the window closes.
The last two pre-season friendlies - defeats to Tottenham and Villarreal - have led to more calls than ever for a new left-sided attacker to come through the door.
Arsenaltravel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United next Sunday knowing three points will be the dream start to a huge season. But what would Arteta's dream squad be to take to Manchester?
Each team is allowed to name 20 players in their matchday squad with nine substitutes to be picked from behind the starting XI. Arsenal are well-equipped to have quality options for their trip to Old Trafford, but in a dream scenario, it will look different to how it does right now.
In goal, Raya is expected to start inbetween the sticks with Kepa his deputy on the bench. Defensively, Arteta has the four starters - most likely to be Ben White, Willian Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Myles Lewis-Skelly - with Jurrien Timber, Mosquera and Jakub Kiwior on the bench.
Which midfield three Arteta selects is currently unknown, but five players will be in the squad with Martin Odegaard, Zubimendi, Mikel Merino, Declan Rice and Norgaard.
Arsenal's current priority is a new attacker to compete with Gabriel Martinelli. Eberechi Eze fits the bill perfectly, with him capable of challenging the Brazilian's place in the squad while also being good enough to take Odgeaard's place behind the striker.
There has been speculation linking Rodrygo with a move to the Emirates Stadium but he looks set on staying at Real Madrid. The Gunners have to leave the Brazilian now and go all out for Eze.
With the Crystal Palace star, Arteta will have one of the most impressive attacking rosters in the Premier League. With 14 players in the squad, there is room for six more.
Gyokeres and Kai Havertz - should he be fit for the opening day - are the options at centre-forward. Add Bukayo Saka, Martinelli, Madueke and Leandro Trossard, that is 20. Should Eze come in, one of them will lose their place in the 20-man squad. That's without Ethan Nwaneri, who is destined for greatness this term.
If Havertz is fit to travel to Old Trafford, you would expect one of Trossard or Kiwior will drop out to make room for Eze or Nwaneri. That would also place further doubt on the futures of Kiwior, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson.
Dream Arsenal squad for Manchester United: Raya, Kepa; Saliba, White, Gabriel, Myles-Skelly, Mosquera, Timber; Odgeaard, Zubimendi, Merino, Rice, Norgaard; Saka, Gyokeres, Martinelli, Madueke, Havertz, Nwaneri, Eze.
