I transformed my skin before my wedding with Revolution's £6 Charlotte Tilbury alternative

Having a glowy, bright and even complexion on your wedding day is a detail that's small but of mighty importance to brides; everyone will be looking at you, you'll be having pictures from every angle and your makeup will need a divine base on which to work. But usually, what goes hand in hand with weddings is vast expense and that costs north of £50, regardless of the results, probably isn't in the budget.

Thankfully, I discovereda few months before my big day last year and can see why it's hailed as a Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream alternative - having tried (and loved) both. While its cost is affordable on a normal day at £10, during Amazon Prime's Big Deal Days it's been reduced to £6.25 - beating and - making it the perfect opportunity to stock up - here's why.

Now, while I didn't suffer from much hyper-pigmentation or scarring or many blemishes (I count myself lucky), my skin often struggled with dry patches and seriously lacked a dewy glow. But after just a few weeks using the Beauty, my friends were all commenting on how 'amazing' and 'plumped' my complexion looked, which was music to my ears.

While I will admit the Miracle Cream, personally, didn't have the most scrumptious of smells - it's quite herby rather than 'rosey' - its ingredients and results more than make up for that.

Concocted with hydrating, lightweight components, the contains niacinamide, which targets uneven skin tone, Vitamin C to help with skin complexion, and hyaluronic acid for optimum skin hydration.

Peptides, camelina oil, and shea butter help keep skin smooth and firm, locking in moisture. And boy does it do all of those lovely things. It also makes for a lovely base under make-up.

What's even better is that since using regularly - morning and night - and sticking to this routine, the dry patches on my skin cleared up (and haven't been seen since) and it looks rejuvenated, smooth and far from dull. I sometimes even have the confidence to go out of the house with just my moisturiser (and SPF) applied.

The tub is aesthetically pleasing too with its gorgeous; it's chic, feminine and looks way more expensive than the £10 price tag.

While there are very few negative points over this cream for me, what I will say is that it's relatively thick and while that makes it ideal for your night-time routine, if you put a smidge too much on you run the risk of it feeling 'greasy'. That being said, in my experience, it absorbs quickly into the skin so that wasn't much of an issue I faced.

Others weren't too enamoured with the smell, either, with one fellow skincare lover citing: "Nice for winter as its quite a thick cream but disappointed that it was highly scented."

Of course, if you're up for spending a little extra on your moisturiser, retails at £52 for a 30ml tub and is truly amazing. Elsewhere, is £19 and is a 'supercharged anti-ageing cream' that is the 'ultimate all-in-one facial rejuvenating formula'.
