Inside Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy's Wagatha drama as WAG set for I'm A Celeb camp

As basked in the latest judgement that stated she had not deliberately duped into paying more in legal costs, it seems as though the wife of was riding high.

But now, it seems the mother of four has confirmed to be joining this year's line-up of Get Me Out Of Here - further escalating her position of power among the WAGs. And while Coleen has allowed her football legend husband Wayne to take centre stage in their relationship over the years, it seems the infamous Wagatha Christie court case has now propelled her to another level of celebrity.

A TV source told the Sunday : "She's in the jungle and she's going to set the record straight on Wagatha. This is a major coup For ITV. The kids are growing up now. The time is right for Coleen. She’s got the potential to go all the way and win this." Coleen hinted at her shock reality TV debut last month in an interview with the Sunday Mirror. Asked what upcoming projects she had on the horizon, she teased: "You'll be seeing a lot more of me soon."

This comes after both WAGs were embroiled in a public legal battle, in 2022, after Rebekah, who is the wife of footballer Jamie Vardy, hit back at allegations of leaking stories to the press. The claims had started as far back as 2019 when Coleen undertook methods to find out who had, within her close circle of friends, revealed intimate details of her personal life, from her private .

At the time, Coleen posted: "It's.... Rebekah Vardy's account." And that led Rebekah to sue Coleen for libel. In conclusion of the public court battle, Mrs Justice Steyn ruled that Coleen's accusation was "substantially true", as Rebekah was likely to "know", "condoned" and was "actively engaged" in the process of leaking stories about Coleen to The Sun.

At the time, the wife of Wayne claimed the trial was "horrible", in British Vogue magazine. But the drama didn't end there as Rebekah then took Coleen to court once again, earlier this month, to dispute the amount she had to pay to cover the I'm A Celeb star's legal costs.

And while Rebekah accused Coleen and her legal team of misleading her over the £1.8million legal fee, a judge has now ruled that her allegations were not true. In a ruling earlier this week on Tuesday [October 8], Senior Costs Judge Andrew Gordon-Saker said "on balance and, I have to say, only just", that Coleen's legal team had not committed wrongdoing. And this meant that it was "not an appropriate case" to reduce the amount Rebekah needs to pay.

However, while there was apparent "failure to be transparent", it was deemed not "sufficiently unreasonable or improper" to claim misconduct. Speaking about Coleen's latest V venture on the show, a source told The Sun: "I’m A Celeb bosses have pulled off a huge coup getting Coleen for the jungle this year and the team are thrilled to have her on board."

The added: "She’s always been a massive fan of the show and loves watching it with her boys. ITV are over the moon that the stars have aligned this year and she can fit it in. The series is set to be one of the best yet. Coleen has a huge fanbase and she won massive plaudits for her classy handling of the Wagatha Christie case. She’s excited to show fans a different side to her and prove she can survive without her creature comforts."
