Liam Gallagher vows to take Oasis reunion tour tickets off 'imposters' in explicit rant

Send Push

Liam Gallagher launched an expletive-filled rant, vowing to revoke tickets from "imposters" ahead of his highly anticipated reunion gig with his brother Noel.

The 52-year-old rock legend took to X to address backlash after his Wembley Arena performance on September 21. Gallagher had performed ahead of Anthony Joshua's fight against Daniel Dubois and, while he received huge cheers from the crowd, some were less impressed, leading to mixed reactions following the event.

Hitting back at his critics, the star furiously wrote: "To all those S******* who were crying about my ANGELIC TONES last night you ain’t real fans your just IMPOSTERS and if you do have tickets you wanna get rid off I’ll gladly take them off your hands we don’t want the likes of you at our concerts nxt year any way LF*****G"

However, some fans didn't take an issue with Liam's performance with one person penning: "Liam you sounded f***ing BIBLICAL last night, people's attitudes towards you STINKS - Live Forever."

Meanwhile, another fan had asked Liam what he thought of those 'complaining how you sounded yesterday,' to which he responded: "F*** THEM SP***BUBBLES." However, Liam later defended his performance, which some criticised as poor, explaining that he had trouble with his music equipment. "Three guitars on that stage, and couldn’t hear one," he said afterwards.

Meanwhile, some admitted they were glad they never managed to get tickets to the Oasis tour. Fans flooded X with comments about Liam's performance ahead of his eagerly awaited reunion with his brother. One user wrote, "Glad I never got Oasis tickets after hearing that Liam Gallagher performance," while another remarked, "This Liam Gallagher performance does no favours for the Oasis reunion."

The disappointing performance followed widespread frustration as fans encountered technical difficulties on the Ticketmaster website, along with dynamic pricing that prevented many from securing tickets for next year’s Oasis tour. However, Oasis said they were unaware that dynamic pricing, which led to tickets selling for more than double the original price, was being used on Ticketmaster, and blamed the situation on “unprecedented demand”.

It also prompted the Government and the UK’s competition watchdog to say they would look at the use of dynamic pricing. Ticketmaster has previously said this was down to the organiser of the sale, not its website. This year marks 30 years since the band released their debut studio album Definitely Maybe, which sailed to the top of the UK charts earlier in the month, bolstered by the release of a deluxe edition celebrating its anniversary.
