Police have released an image of a man they want speak to after a man and a three-year-oldwere injured in an 'unprovoked attack'.
The unidentified male was walking in Notting Hill, west on Saturday, 5 October when he was seen on suddenly pushing a man. The victim, who was walking with his three-year-old child, fell to the floor and hit his head on a wall, causing serious injuries including bleeding, a fractured eye socket and heavy bruising. The victim and his child have since been discharged from hospital but will require further treatment.
Police said initial enquiries suggested it was an 'unprovoked attack'. The man has been described as a black male, of medium to large build, around the age of 40.
A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: "Met officers have released an image of a man they would like to speak to following an assault in Notting Hill, west London. An unknown male was walking westbound along Westbourne Grove, W2, on Saturday, 5 October at 13:02hrs where he was seen on CCTV pushing a male victim to the floor. The victim, who was walking with his 3-year-old child at the time, was captured falling to the floor and hitting his head into a wall, which caused quite serious injuries, including bleeding, a fractured eye socket and heavy bruising.
The victim and his child have since been discharged from hospital, but require further treatment.The man has been described as a black male, of medium to large build, around the age of 40. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, blue trousers, with a pair of white trainers and a blue baseball cap. Enquiries are ongoing but police say it appears at this stage to be an unprovoked attack.
