The 24-year-old explained how the cashier thought her age was in the 30s to 40s range, much to her dismay, but she said it's not the first time she's heard of people assuming she's much older. The twenty-something woman blames it on being "expressive" and having wrinkles.

Riley, a TikToker and content creator from Alabama, was desperate to hear the guesses of others after the initial prediction from the shop cashier played on her mind. And after asking online, she found that most people guessed she was around 34 or older, with others assuming the same as the cashier.

In an attempt to explain why she does look stereotypically older than a normal 24-year-old, Riley pointed towards her having visible fine lines on her face. She tried to further prove her youth by showing off her outfits which she said don't reflect those of middle-aged people.

One TikTok follower, who said they were 38 event went as far as to tell Riley she looked older than them and another of her followers chimed in to say: "OMG, I thought she was my age, I am 34," while another added: "The clothing fashion gives 24-25. Face card giving 30s."
