Recruitments have come out for thousands of clerk posts in the State Bank of India (SBI, for which the application process has also started from 6 August, i.e., today. The last date to apply has been fixed as 26 August. Under this recruitment campaign, a total of 6,589 clerk posts will be filled in SBI.
According to the notification, a candidate can apply for only one state. Applicants have to keep in mind that they should have good knowledge of the local language of the state for which they are applying, that is, they should know how to read, write, speak, and understand that local language.

SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria: What are the eligibility criteria?
Educational Qualification: To apply, candidates must have a graduation degree from a recognized university. Apart from this, students of the final year of graduation can also apply for this recruitment, provided that they have to show their graduation certification by the prescribed cutoff date (on or before 31 December 2025).
Age Limit: The age of the candidates applying for these posts should be between 20 and 28 years. However, as per government rules, reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in the upper age limit, such as OBC category candidates will get 3 years relaxation, and SC-ST candidates will get 5 years relaxation.

General, EWS, and OBC category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 750, while SC, ST, and Divyang category candidates are exempted from paying the application fee. The application fee can be paid through debit card, credit card, or internet banking.
SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025 Selection Process: What is the selection process?
To become an SBI Clerk, candidates will have to go through a three-stage selection process. There will be a preliminary examination in the first phase, after passing which the candidates will be able to appear in the main examination in the second phase. Then the candidates who will pass the main examination will have to take a local language test. However, this test will be for those candidates who have not studied the local language of the state at the 10th or 12th level.
SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025 Exam Pattern: What is the pattern of the exam?
The SBI Clerk preliminary exam will be of 1 hour, in which a total of 100 objective-type questions of 100 marks will be asked. It will include questions of Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability, and English Language. At the same time, the main exam will be a total of 200 marks. A total of 190 questions will be asked in this. This exam will be 2 hours and 40 minutes. In this, questions related to General / Financial Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning, General English, and Computer Aptitude will be asked.
