How to apply for India Series number plate

Visit the Vahan Portal: Start by logging in to the official vehicle portal of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, parivahan.gov.in.

Select Vehicle Registration: On the homepage, click on the ‘Vehicle Registration’ option.

Select your State: Select your state from the dropdown menu.

Apply for New Registration: Click on the ‘Apply for New Registration’ option.

Select India Series: From the given options, select ‘India Series’.

Fill Vehicle Details: Enter the required information like vehicle owner’s name, chassis number, and engine number.

Upload Required Documents: Attach your identity proof along with proof of address and any other relevant documents.

Pay Registration Fee: Complete the payment of registration fee. Keep the receipt or slip safe for future reference.

RTO Verification: The Regional Transport Office (RTO) will verify your application. After successful verification, you will receive your India Series number plate.
