The world witnessed one of the most special batting displays on Monday (April 28, 2025) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur as the 14-year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi took millions of breaths away with a 35-ball century, the second-fastest ever in IPL's history of 18 years with the baby-faced teenager tearing down the record books and etching his name in history.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi - take a bow!
Vaibhav Suryavanshi broke a plethora of records in his innings of 101 off 38 balls making him the youngest ever T20 centurion from the time the format has existed in any form or shape. Suryavanshi shared a record 166-run opening stand with Yashasvi Jaiswal who himself made an unbeaten 40-ball 70 as RR handed GT a shellacking and chased down 210 with as many as 25 balls to spare. This was RR's third win and with this win they have ensured that they are still alive in the competition mathematically while GT have lost their third match in nine matches played and slipped down to number three in the points table.
