Punjab National Bank (PNB) has cut FD interest rates on select tenures on balances less than Rs 3 crore following rate cuts by banks such as Yes Bank, Canara Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Equitas and Shivalik Small Finance Bank.
Latest PNB FD interest rates
After revision, Punjab National Bank offers fixed deposit interest rates between 3.50% and 7.10% for tenures ranging from 7 days to 10 years for general citizens. The highest interest rate of 7.10% is offered on a tenure of 390 days.
Earlier, the bank was offering the highest interest rate of 7.25% on FD tenures of 400 days.
Canara bank cuts FD rates by up to 20 bps: Check latest rates
The bank has revised its fixed deposit interest rates across multiple tenures. The rate for the 300-day tenure has been reduced from 7.05% to 6.50%, while the 303-day tenure now offers 6.40% interest, down from 7.00%. For deposits with a tenure of more than 2 years and up to 3 years, the interest rate has been brought down from 7.00% to 6.75%. The 1204-day tenure has seen a revision from 6.40% to 6.15%, and for tenures ranging from 1205 days to 5 years, the rate has been cut from 6.50% to 6.25%. Deposits with a tenure of more than 5 years up to 1894 days will now earn 6.00%, down from 6.50%. Interestingly, the 1895-day tenure has witnessed a rate increase—from 6.35% to 5.85%. However, for long-term deposits of 1896 days up to 10 years, the interest rate has been reduced from 6.50% to 6.00%.
FD interest rates for senior citizens
The Senior citizens of age 60 years and above to below 80 years shall get an additional rate of interest of 50 bps over applicable card rates for a period up to 5 years and 80 bps for a period above 5 years on domestic deposits of less than Rs. 3 Crore. For senior citizens, the bank offers interest rates ranging from 4.00% to 7.60%.
FD interest rates for super senior citizens
Super Senior Citizens of age 80 years & above shall get an additional rate of interest of 80 bps over applicable card rate across all maturity buckets. For super senior citizens, the rates are slightly higher, ranging from 4.30% to 7.90% after revision.
