Italy has emerged as the most-loved destination of 2025, according to Conde Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Choice Awards. The rankings highlight how countries across the globe captivate travellers through culture, cuisine, landscapes, and unforgettable experiences. While European destinations lead the list, countries in Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania also feature prominently, reflecting the wide-ranging travel preferences shaping global tourism this year.

Italy leads the list with a score of 97.80, offering travellers a perfect blend of history, art, and gastronomy. Major cities like Rome, Venice, Milan, and Florence continue to enchant visitors, while smaller towns such as Palermo, Bergamo, and Brescia provide rich, immersive cultural experiences. Qatar takes second place with 96.67 points, boosted by rising tourism after the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Visitors are drawn to its futuristic skyline, luxury hotels, and a combination of modernity and authentic cultural experiences.

Japan ranks third at 96.22, praised for its efficient transport network, scenic rail routes, onsens, cherry blossoms, and diverse culinary offerings. Bhutan (96.19) and Thailand (95.48) complete the top five, celebrated for their spiritual landscapes, vibrant traditions, and warm hospitality.
