A group of pranksters at a Hyderabad college tried to pull off a practical joke on their professor but failed miserably. The video of a hilarious prank gone wrong is now going viral on social media. While the professor was wise enough not to fall for their tactics, nevertheless he was a sport, and his adorable reaction is now taking the Internet by storm. An Instagram user shared the video, and wrote, "When you think your smart but your professor turns out to be over smart !!" The clip has crossed over 109K likes.

At the Maturi Venkata Subba Rao (MVSR) Engineering College, students attempted to pull a practical joke on one of their teachers, the "You can sleep" trick. It seems that they were unaware that their senior lecturer was a tech-savvy Instagram user who was already aware of the joke and would not fall for it. The practical joke that the MVSR students attempted to pull was taken from Christ University students in Bengaluru. Similar to Bengaluru, two students were debating whether the lines "You is sleep" and "You can sleep" were grammatically correct.
The professor was consulted by the students to determine the grammatically proper sentence. That's precisely what took place in Bengaluru. Regretfully, the lecturer at Hyderabad's MVSR school was not going to fall for the ruse. When quizzed about the correct sentence, the professor was seen bursting out into a peal of merry laughter and saying, “ “ Hehe, mujhe maalum hai (I know what you are up to),” as his students joined him in the fun.
On Instagram, the botched joke and the professor's endearing response have received close to two million views and hundreds of compliments. He was dubbed a "pookie professor" by one person. "The professor passed the vibe check," another person remarked.
