Indian film actress Aditi Rao Hydari’s dreamy wedding with actor Siddharth took over social media for its subtle grace and aesthetics. Their wedding pictures instantly became the talk of the town, with Aditi draping a subtle golden-hued traditional sari and carrying natural-tone makeup with beautiful moon mehendi. Now, the diva has shared a series of pictures from the ceremony after the wedding in which she looks like an Indian princess with natural-tone makeup ruling over her kingdom in a stunning Ashrafi motif sari.

The bride wore a custom-made sari from the brand Raw Mango which is a true work of art. The sari features a delicate tissue base and has striking ashrafi motifs which look divine on her. Having deep-rooted cultural tones within the drapes, the Ashrafi work was primarily done on Banarasi silk brocade textiles during the Mughal reign. They were also seen in paintings of Raja Ravi Varma in which he represented Goddess Lakshmi and Durga in these stunning Ashrafi motif saris.

The term ‘Ashrafi’ originated from the Persian empire and means ‘coin,’ symbolising abundance and prosperity in life. Entering a new phase of her life, Aditi perfectly represented the meaning of draping an Ashrafi motif sari featuring a thick golden border with red piping, which created a stunning contrast. The shimmering gold zari work added a touch of overall opulence, and she teamed it up with a half-sleeve blush pink blouse.

Talking about her accessories, the newlywed bride wore iconic golden jhumkas with emeralds and pearl detailing and added a pearl choker with a gold centrepiece featuring emeralds, diamonds, and striking ruby stone as well. She kept a half-tied hairstyle with subtle flicks from the front and opted for a fresh natural base with arched brows, nude lips, soft peach cheeks, and fine liner touch. The diva proved again to be the epitome of natural grace and perfectly carried this iconic traditional look at her wedding.
