Send Push
“If I could choose over again the city I would want to live in India - my answer would be very clear #ɴᴀᴍᴍᴀʙᴇɴɢᴀʟᴜʀᴜ.” These are the words of a Russian woman married in India.

Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, is not just an ordinary city, for some it’s an experience. There’s something unique about the ‘Garden City of India’ that attracts people from near and far. Recently, a Russian woman named Yulia from Siberia took to her social media platform and praised Bengaluru. She called it the best city to live in India and gave several reasons. Rosy climate, greenery, warm people, colourful culture, and modern-world charm all make Bengaluru a livable city.

Let’s find out more about Yulia’s view of Bengaluru:

Pleasant climatic conditions

Yulia in her Instagram post described her childhood in Siberia’s harsh winters. Temperatures in Siberia would drop to −50 °C. She compared Bengaluru’s weather with Siberia and cities like Delhi and Mumbai. She said, “Delhi winters are super cold, Jaipur too. Chennai and Mumbai are unbearably hot. Bengaluru… it just feels right.”

Which is so true. Bengaluru’s weather with moderate temperatures, cool evenings, and long stretches of sunshine make daily life comfortable throughout the year. But there’s no denying that Bengaluru has seen some changes over the past decade. Some 10 years ago, there were no air-conditioners in the city but today, they are a common sight.

The pleasant climate has become part of Bengaluru’s identity. It’s a city where people enjoy their morning walks in green gardens, cycling around Cubbon Park, or sipping coffee in a café. Here, the heat doesn’t dominate life but only adds to overall experience.

Bengaluru is called the ‘Garden City’ for a reason. Yulia too mentioned the same that despite the urban growth, Bengaluru is still defined by its greenery defines the city’s real beauty. The city is known for its many parks such as Lalbagh and Cubbon Park. These are the lungs of the city as the parks are lined with trees and flowers, offering peaceful escapes from the buzz of office complexes. Lakes like Ulsoor and Sankey Tank are the life of locals where they jog and meditate.

Yulia said that she is also attracted to the city’s relaxed lifestyle and neighborhoods like Indiranagar and Jayanagar which feel warm and welcoming. The city hums with life and never feels suffocating. It’s a combination that can hardly be found in any other Indian city..

Vibrant culture and the nightlife

Bengaluru’s charm isn’t just in its climate but it’s in the way the city enjoys its culture. Also known as India’s pub capital as the city comes alive after sunset. Yulia admires its nightlife, from craft beer pubs to jazz lounges, Bengaluru is beautiful all the time of the day. There’s a subtle breeze to Bengaluru: mornings are soft, afternoons are lazy and evenings are filled with music.

Yulia says the city attracts people from across India and the world. Whether you’re a techie, an artist, or an expatriate, there’s space for all. Yulia’s social media post attracted several comments.

For Yulia, Bengaluru isn’t just a city; it’s home for her. Bengaluru represents a comfortable, balanced lifestyle. According to her, Bengaluru is the best city to live in India—a place where one can not just survive, but thrive.
