Hanuman ji, the ardent devotee of Shri Ram, is worshipped in Hinduism not only as a brave warrior but also as the master of miraculous siddhis. Hanuman Janmotsav is celebrated on 12th April. According to religious beliefs, Mother Janaki had blessed him with eight siddhis and nine nidhis. The verse of Hanuman Chalisa "Ashta Siddhi Nav Nidhi Ke Data, As Bar Dinh Janaki Mata" indicates this characteristic. Here we will know about those eight siddhis that Hanuman ji has received and with the influence of which he made impossible tasks possible.

1. Anima
This siddhi makes a person so subtle that he can reach anywhere without coming into anyone's sight. Hanuman ji entered Lanka using this power and met Mother Sita secretly in Ashok Vatika.
2. Mahima
With this siddhi, anyone can make his size extremely huge. When Surasa blocked the way while crossing the sea, then Hanuman ji made his form a hundred yojana long with this power.
3. Garima
This power gives a person the ability to assume the heaviest form. It is said that during the Mahabharata period, Hanuman Ji had taken the form of an old monkey and broke the pride of Bhima by spreading his tail – Bhima could not lift that tail even if he tried.
4. Laghima
With this siddhi, the body becomes extremely light and a person can move anywhere in a moment. Hanuman Ji used this power while secretly entering Lanka and communicated with Sita Mata by hiding among the leaves.
5. Prapti
This power gives the ability to instantly obtain any object, information or place. While searching for Sita Mata, Hanuman Ji understood the language of animals and birds got guidance, and reached Ashok Vatika.
6. Prakamya
With this power, a person can roam in water, sky or underworld at will and can maintain life for a long time. Hanuman Ji first met Ram in the form of a Brahmin with the help of this siddhi.
7. Ishitva
This power gives the ability to leadership, control, and rejuvenation. In Ramayana, Hanuman Ji emerged as the best commander of the monkey army and his leadership was unparalleled.

8. Vashitva
This siddhi gives complete control over the mind and senses. Hanuman Ji is the best example of this Siddhi with his restraint, sadhana, and celibacy. Due to his brilliance and influence, even his opponents were forced to obey his orders.
These eight siddhis of Hanuman Ji are not only important from the religious point of view, but are also a symbol of faith and power. It is believed that the person who worships him with a true heart also gets success and miraculous support in life.
