With the iconic Met Gala red carpet ready to roll out at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 5, 2025, whispers of India’s celebs on the international fashion front are already buzzing. While mom-to-be Kiara Advani has already made headlines with her upcoming Met Gala debut, the latest report suggests another Indian sensation debuting at the Met, and it's none other than beloved Punjabi munda Diljit Dosanjh.
According to fresh reports by India Today, Diljit is all set to make his grand debut at the Met Gala 2025. Sources close to the media portal have revealed that the multi-talented star is expected to walk the Met carpet as the ambassador for Google Pixel this year. Though an official confirmation from his team is still pending, the speculation has only added to the growing excitement around the event.
Meanwhile, Bollywood actress Kiara, as per Pinkvilla, is all set to step onto the Met Gala stage for the first time after grabbing eyeballs at Cannes' Women in Cinema Gala last year.
Who else is attending Met Gala 2025?
As with every year, the Met Gala’s guest list remains hush-hush until the very last moment, but several names have already created a buzz in the lead-up. According to rumoured reports, Shakira, who wowed in her 2024 debut, is expected to walk the red carpet again. Lizzo and Mary J. Blige are reportedly preparing for a show-stopping appearance.
Fashion staples including Naomi Campbell, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Ashley Graham, and rising model Amelia Gray are all rumoured to attend. The Met red carpet can also expect Tyla, Doechii, André 3000, Simone Biles and husband Jonathan Owens, and author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
This year's event will also see an iconic lineup featuring Pharrell Williams, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and LeBron James, who will be co-chairing the Met Gala 2025.
