Raebareli: In a shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh's Raebareli, unidentified bike-riding thieves stole a Scorpio SUV parked outside a house in the city's Indira Nagar Colony. The entire incident, which took place under the cover of darkness, was caught on CCTV and is now being used by the police to track the culprits.
As per reports from local publications, the theft occurred during the night hours, and was discovered only the next morning when the vehicle’s owner found it missing and alerted the police. “Two bike-borne youths were seen arriving at the spot, breaking the vehicle’s lock, and fleeing with it within minutes,” a police official told Dynamite News.

The CCTV footage clearly shows the criminals carrying the burglary with precision. The police have registered an FIR and are currently examining the CCTV footage to identify the suspects. “These thieves appear to be professionals and could be behind other similar cases in the area,” an officer involved in the investigation told the local publication.
Despite the FIR, no arrests have been made yet. Authorities have reported the probe is still ongoing.
Residents Upset Over Police Inaction
The incident left the residents of Indira Nagar Colony and nearby areas deeply concerned. Locals accused the police of inaction and pointed to a surge in vehicle thefts in recent months.
Demanding immediate measures, locals urged the administration to increase the number of CCTV cameras in residential areas and ensure regular night patrolling to deter such crimes.
