Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): On the occasion of National Fishermen’s Day, a state-level Nishad Raj Conference and training will be held at the Kalidas Sanskrit Academy campus here on July 10 at 11 am. Ahead of the conference, Commissioner Sanjay Gupta and Managing Director, Matsya Mahasangh, Nidhi Nivedita organised a meeting on Friday over the preparations for the programme.
Among those present were Collector Raushan Kumar Singh, Zila Panchayat CEO Jayati Singh, and Deputy Director, Fisheries, Sona Yadav.

During the programme, acceptance of 430 motorcycles with ice box and distribution of 100 units, provision of acceptance letter for 396 cages, provision of acceptance letter to the beneficiaries of free mill, distribution of awards to fishermen and fishery cooperative societies doing excellent work, distribution of deferred wages of Rs 9.63 crore to the fishermen of Matsya Sangh, and provision of royalty cheque will be done.
