While in Hindi Raid 2 and The Bhootnii released on Thursday, down South also two biggies hit the big screens, Nani starrer Telugu film Hit 3, and Suriya’s Tamil movie Retro. As expected, both movies have taken a flying start the box office in their respective original languages. While they were dubbed and released in other languages, including Hindi, the original versions have received a fantastic response.
Hit 3 Box Office Collection Day 1
Nani starrer Hit 3 is expected to collect around Rs. 18-20 crore at the box office on its day one (all languages). The major collection will surely come from the Telugu language. Hit 2’s lifetime collection was Rs. 25.92 crore. So, this means that Hit 3 will surpass the collection of Hit 2 in just two days.
However, it will be interesting to see if the movie will be able to collect a better amount in the coming days or not, as the reviews have been mixed and even the word of mouth is quite average.
Retro Box Office Collection Day 1
Meanwhile, Suriya starrer Retro is also expected to take a similar start at the box office with a collection of Rs. 18-20 crore on day 1. For this movie, the major collection will come from its original Tamil version.
Suriya’s last release Kanguva had collected Rs. 24 crore on day one (all languages), but due to negative reviews, the movie dropped further. However, Retro has received mostly positive reviews, and the word of mouth is good. So, we can expect it to be stable at the box office.
Hit 3 Vs Retro Hindi Box Office Collection Day 1
Well, both Hit 3 and Retro are expected to get a disastrous response in Hindi market, and one of the reasons for it is Raid 2. The Ajay Devgn starrer was the first choice for Hindi audience on Thursday. But let’s wait and watch whether both dubbed movies get a jump at the box office during the weekend or not.
