BBC Breakfast viewers have hit out at Blue Peter star Peter Perves after the iconic presenter spoke about ex boss Biddy Baxter in light of her death. Biddy Baxter died this week aged 92, with many paying tribute to the TV producer for her impressive legacy running Blue Peter.
Former Blue Peter presenter Peter Perves appeared on BBC Breakfast today to speak about his late colleague, however some fans weren't too happy with his comments. Speaking to the breakfast programme, he said: "She was an absolute power house. The programme would not still exist if it hadn't been for her. She was very controlling and she controlled the show wonderfully," he said. However, he later admitted that the pair sometimes clashed.
"She controlled everything about the programme with quite a rigid hand - we didn't always get on because of that," Peter continued. He also said that she was sometimes "very difficult to work with" and that working with her "could be very, very testing but gratifying".

Some viewers weren't impressed with Peter's tribute however, with many taking to social media to say that it wasn't appropriate. "Peter Purvis bashing biddy baxter was obviously not the best persons to speak on her death announcement. It was just a dig followed by compliment followed by another dig. So disrespectful," one wrote.
Another said: "Peter Purvis wasn’t a fan then. #BBCBreakfast." While a third write: "I'm here for Peter Purvis not letting s**t go. #BBCBreakfast."
