Taylor Fritz's third round Wimbledon clash against Alejandro Davidovich has been suspended following a medical emergency in the crowd. Play was suspended early in the second set after a spectator was taken ill.

The incident occurred with Fritz leading 6-4, 2-1, 40-40. John McEnroe, co-commentating for the BBC, had prime view of the incident and gave an update, saying: "Someone right beside us Simon is in some distress, they’ve stopped the match."

Fritz rushed to help the unwell spectator by delivering a bottle of water.
