EastEnders confirms Joel Marshall's next target after horrifying tube scenes

Send Push

Joel Marshall's dark storyline took a disturbing turn in EastEnders this week when he was seen assaulting passenger Isla on the tube. Despite being apprehended for his actions, it seems Joel still hasn't learnt his lesson. The BBC soap has now confirmed who he'll be targeting next—and it's a Walford resident.

Before his sick act towards Isla, Joel asked Tommy Moon to film him, who was unaware of what was about to go down. Joel was then apprehended by officers at the station, although Isla decided not to take it any further after Vicki Fowler paid her off.

Despite saving Joel this time, his stepmother Vicki made it abundantly clear that he can't do anything like this again, even pinning him against the wall. Although it was evident Joel had been left frightened by the scolding, it doesn't look like he's taking any notice.

Spoilers for next weekreveal he'll now be targeting Amy Mitchell, the daughter of police officer Jack Branning. It all begins when Denzel invites a few friends over, including Tommy. Joel then angles for an invite too, so he can get closer to Amy.

He attempts to chat her up, only for it to be thwarted as his next target is revealed, after his recent drama with Avani.

Viewers recently saw Joel secretly record himself and Avani having sex, although news has not yet spread to her parents, Ravi and Priya. They know the two slept together, although they're still unaware it was secretly filmed by the teen.

Recently, viewers have speculated that Zoe Slater could be Joel's real mum, following her shock return to Albert Square this week.

Upon her return, Zoe told Stacey and Alfie that she had a huge secret that no one would forgive her for if they found out. Fans believe it's because she abandoned her son, Joel.

Whether that theory is true or not, Shane Richie, who plays Alfie Moon, has teased a whole load of drama ahead.

Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, Shane said: "There is more trouble ahead and while I was away there was a lot filmed. Sonny who plays Tommy texted me saying, 'Shane, I'm doing this and that'. It's great. It's big stuff."

Sophie Levy Khan, who plays Priya also opened up on the possibility of herself and Ravi finding out about Joel's secret tape. I think I can imagine them two going crazy. After what she was like with Jack Branning... that was an awful moment for Avani.

"Priya and Ravi are both quick to get angry so who knows what Joel will face when they find out. We'll have to see!"

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
