Newcomer Ross Marshall could have a hidden agenda on as he plots to stay in Walford.
Despite his partner Vicki Fowler being eager to leave Albert Square as soon as possible, Ross seems keen to stick around. His change in attitude, having previously agreed they should not stick around, has certainly sparked suspicions with viewers.
It was revealed last week that Ross and Vicki were trying to pay off a huge debt, but it wasn't their own. It was Ross' son Joel in debt, it emerged, and it appeared they were also hiding a concerning secret.
Joel did something bad that landed him with the debt it seems, with Ross now desperate to pay off whoever might be after his son - or perhaps it's to avoid a secret coming to light. Either way it's on Ross and Vicki to find the funds to get them and Joel in the clear.
Ross had said on Thursday: "I’m keeping my end of the bargain – now it’s up to you to keep yours. I’m up to my eyes in debt because of you, and we don’t want anyone knowing why."

With new spoilers for this week revealing that Ross would plan to stick around, it got fans speculating why. They were only in Walford for the funeral of Vicki's uncle Martin Fowler, who tragically died in an explosion earlier this year.
Obviously their secret agenda was to find the funds to pay off the debt too, with them asking Vicki's sister Sharon Watts and her cousin Ian Beale. So with the plan being to get the money and leave back for , why the sudden change of heart from Ross?
Vicki is still very keen to go back to Australia in a matter of days, but Ross wants to stay in Walford. Upcoming scenes will see him asking Vicki if they can stick around for longer only for her to say no.
This results in him taking matters into his own hands, and causing drama to get his own way. Viewers now think he wants to keep his family in Walford because of the debt.

They suggested he isn't there to support Vicki at all, and is simply hiding himself and Joel away from the people they owe money to. Taking to social media one fan said: "I wouldn't be surprised if they stay in Walford to avoid the debt."
Another fan suggested it wasn't the person they were in debt to he was hiding from, but instead it was Joel's mother. Could Joel's mum have custody of him, and might Ross have fled to keep him?
The theory read: "Gotta be some sort of custody thing with Joel right? The boy's 15, and all he’s done is chat up Avani, Amy and Lily (seemingly the only three young girls on the square) and play football with Tommy. So yeah would like to see how on earth it is his debt…"
