Emmerdale's Caleb Miligan 'to kill Joe Tate' as actor teases grim showdown

Caleb Miligan could kill Joe Tate in if he discovers a dark organ theft twist, one cast member has teased.

Actor Will Ash has teased what could happen if Caleb ever finds out the sick actions of his nephew Joe. Viewers saw Caleb almost killed recently after a staged car theft led to him being stabbed.

Joe played the hero, rushing his bleeding uncle to his private clinic where his doctor pal Dr Crowley was ready to perform surgery. Caleb flatlined and nearly died, while he was soon told at the hospital that his kidney could not be saved.

Of course fans are aware that it was all part of Joe's disgusting plan to steal his uncle's kidney. Joe had been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and was seriously ill, relying on dialysis to stay alive.

He went to vile measures to secure himself a functioning kidney that would be accepted by his body, putting a plan in motion to steal one from Caleb. It all went ahead and only Joe and Crowley know the truth.

But now Caleb actor Will has teased what might happen if the truth ever comes out, with fans convinced it's only a matter of time. Will revealed Caleb will want to kill Joe in a brutal revenge, hinting there could be a grim showdown on the cards for the pair if Caleb finds out what Joe did.

He teased Caleb would be left in a rage and flying off the handle over something so dark, currently believing Joe saved his life. He also hinted at scenes ahead that could see Caleb piece everything together.

A mistake from Joe could see his uncle realise what's gone on, meaning we could well see Caleb take his deadly payback against him. Will revealed to The and other press: "He doesn't know Joe is behind taking his kidney, he trusts him because Joe saved his life.

"He knows he’s started digging [into Anthony] and wants to keep an eye on it so he invites Joe over for dinner to scratch away at the surface, and see what going on with him. It's like two lions circling each other."

On the moment Caleb realises Joe has rushed back to the house for his coat and the mystery medication falls out, Will teased he might not initially realise what he has seen - with him so focused on stopping him from speaking to his daughter Steph about Anthony. He said: "He leaves his coat, the pills he’s got are immunosuppressants. If you have a kidney transplant you need to take them for your immune system to accept your kidney.

"Caleb knows he’s on medication, it's when Caleb comes back to the house and finds out Joe's gone back to get his coat and he knows Steph is on her own. He wants to intercept that, and at the same time Joe's tablets fall out his pocket and he picks them up.

"Caleb only sees the end of that moment so he’s not sure about what the tablets are at that point but he knows he’s on medication." Caleb will then try to get more information about Joe after a warning from Charity Dingle, who is convinced Joe drugged her son Noah Dingle.

Will went on: "He sets the ball in motion for everything to unravel when he digs at Steph." On how Caleb will react to the truth if he finds out, Will teased it could mean a brutal death twist for Joe.

He explained: "It's a huge violation someone doing that to you, and it'd be compounded by the fact it's someone he thought had saved his life. Caleb would be incandescent with rage and he would want to kill him. He'd wanna kill him. Caleb in other situations, he’s not impulsive, he’s calculating, he lets things happen and then there will come a moment where he gets revenge, but something like this he’d go, he’d fly off the handle."
