Glastonbury 2025-goers, listen up! It’s time to consider the nifty little items that’ll transform your festival experience, beyond the obvious tent and refreshments essentials. A keen festival lover sparked a flurry of invaluable advice on a GlastonburyFestival Reddit thread after asking, "Give me your most unique/useful items on your packing list. Something that you swear by..." resulting in a treasure trove of savvy tips for this summer’s events.
The thread turned into a crowd-sourced hack session, with brilliant suggestions bound to leave festival-goers thanking their lucky stars that they'd managed to stumble upon it, as there were so many things they hadn't even thought of.
This year, Glastonbury is taking place from Wednesday, 25 June, to Sunday, 29 June. The popular event, which is attended by more than 200,000 people, is held at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, England. It's located near the towns of Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet. This year, acts are set to include the 1975, Charlie XCX, Rod Stewart, and The Prodigy.

One seasoned festival attendee recommended: "Change of clothes to be left in the car. There's so much joy in a fresh t-shirt and socks to drive home in", pointing towards the bliss of clean apparel post-festival grime.
Another festival guru shared an ingenious soap tip: "Not sure if this is my main answer, but today I've decanted some liquid soap into a little travel bottle so I don't ever have to use that grim sanitiser stuff at the toilets (which apparently doesn't kill things like norovirus anyway)".
And in a stroke of organisational genius, one enterprising individual decided to add a “bedside table” to their Glasto gear for camping convenience.
In preparation for Glastonbury, a festival enthusiast revealed a handy tip on social media: "Small collapsible boxes from Ikea for keeping stuff organised in the tent. They're fabric and super lightweight. Sooo helpful to stop me losing things somewhere on the tent floor every 5 minutes".
Another attendee chimed in with their own thrifty hack: "I do this but just with carrier bags! I separate my clothes out (eg tops, undies etc) and label them (lol). So simple but genuinely one of my Glasto top tips."
They added a further piece of advice: "Also, keep a mini washbag full of sleep stuff (sleep mask, earplugs, etc) to keep under a pillow so I'm not rooting around for everything at 5am haha".
Venturing into more unusual territory, one camper recommended: "Gardening gloves. I've got the hands of a lifelong office worker, wearing gardening gloves for carrying my stuff to camp is so much more comfortable".
One festival-goer disclosed their unexpected item - an "empty bottle of Comfort," accompanying their post with a photo of an oversized pack they bought specifically.
The purpose baffled many until it was explained that these bottles are used "for pee", sparking varied reactions among fellow Glasto fans.
Confessing his partner's displeasure at a peculiar choice, a lad said: "My fiancée has told me I'm not to take one this year because it's 'f****** disgusting'."
Highlighting a personal necessity, a sufferer of blocked sinuses wrote: "Sterimar to clean out the festival snot before bed,".
Another festival-goer suggested a top tip: "One I saw and will never go back on: big sandwich bags you put each day's items of clothing in, keeps it dry if it rains, gives you a bag to put your worn clothes back into and if you take a sharpie you can just mark off whatever stuff you've already worn so you can easily see your clean clothing too!".
They also concurred with others on the convenience of having spare attire in the car, saying, "And 100% agree with the guys saying a change of clothes in the car if you're driving, absolute godsend".
Another savvy recommendation was for "Orthopaedic insoles for festival footwear", highlighting how they help you comfortably remain on your feet "all day".
