Culinary superstar Gordon Ramsay has shared that he has recently undergone surgery for cancer.
The 58-year-old celebrity chef, famous for his legendary programmes Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen, recently turned to Instagram to inform worried supporters that he has had an operation to eliminate cancer from the side of his face.
He shared a photograph and issued an alert to fans, declaring: "Grateful and so appreciative for the incredible team at The Skin Associates and their fast reactive work on removing this Basal Cell Carcinoma, thank you!" It comes as the TV chef announces one of his iconic shows is getting a reboot.

"Please don't forget your sunscreen this weekend [red heart emoji] I promise you it's not a face lift! I need a refund...." Gordon's comment section was inundated with mates, admirers and fellow celebrities wishing him a swift recovery.
One person penned: "Get well soon, dear chef," whilst another remarked: "Well done you for getting a skin check! Something we should all be lining up for."
Additional people left him heart emojis as one comment stated: "So glad you're sorted! Speedy recovery chef," a second remarked: "Glad you're okay," and a third: "Good job for making people aware of things like this."
Someone else added: "So important to share things like this, slap on a hat, suncream and seek shade, happy healing. Well done to the amazing people who work in healthcare who do amazing work like this."
Gordon's startling revelation arrives shortly after he recently confessed he is "embarrassed" by how many luxury motors he possesses. The car enthusiast has splashed millions on classic and sports cars, amassing an impressive collection over the years.
He recently confessed on the Smartless podcast: "I'm embarrassed about the collection.
"The only way I really get to understand these cars is on the track. Three or four times a year we rent a track out, truck them down there, I bring in mates. Silverstone and Thruxton, the biggest track in the UK.
"I've been collecting for over 20 years, I think it's about 94. The majority of the cars we have are all in this incredible hanger that we've just built."
The telly star attributes his obsession to his humble beginnings in Scotland: "I think it's growing up in poverty, on a council estate, a sort of deprived area.
"Going to school with holes in your trousers and your mum having to put leather patches on your knees that turned out quite cool. Getting called out by your mates for dinner tickets because you don't have the money to buy food."
Since then, Gordon has risen to become the most recognised TV chef globally and also owns a chain of restaurants. However, he revealed that he has only dined at his own restaurants twice in 25 years because the attention makes him squirm: "All the attention makes me uncomfortable!"
