My Life With The Walter Boys is set to return for a second series, with a third instalment already confirmed ahead of its anticipated comeback.
Netflix viewers were instantly captivated by the heart-wrenching tale of Jackie Howard (portrayed by Nikki Rodriguez), whose life took a tragic turn when her family perished in a car crash.

The teenager found herself relocated to Silver Falls, Colorado, living with her mum's best mate Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty) and her brood of 10 children, nine of whom are boys, much to Jackie's surprise.
Matters got even more tangled when she found herself in a love triangle with brothers Alex (Ashby Gentry) and Cole Walter (Noah LaLonde).
Now, fans are on tenterhooks waiting for the second season to land on Netflix. Given that the first series was based on Novak's novel of the same name, many are curious if this will be the case again.

While the first series largely adhered to the novel's plot, the second series won't be based on the author's work when it makes its return.
This is primarily because the second season was already in development shortly after its renewal two years ago, when Novak's sequel, My Return To The Walter Boys, was released in April this year.
Thus, the creative minds behind the TV drama have been diligently crafting Jackie's next adventures without relying on the author's work.
In a surprising twist, the first series of My Life With The Walter Boys was slightly altered from the book, leaving viewers in suspense about whether Jackie would return to Silver Falls.
Speaking to Deadline, showrunner Melanie Halsall revealed: "When you're making a television series that you want to be returning, you have to make changes from a novel. I wanted to surprise the audience.
"I wanted to give the audience something a little bit different than they were expecting from the book.
"I wanted to leave it open-ended what Jackie was going to do and what boy she was gonna end up with.
"I've often said that maybe Jackie won't end up with a boy but she'll end up on her own. Maybe that's still the case.
"It was a deliberate decision to make that change, and I think it was organic to the story."
My Life With The Walter Boys series two premieres on Thursday, 28 August, on Netflix.
