Nicola Peltz's major feuds from Beckham family brothers to housekeeping staff claims

Brooklyn and Nicola’s decision not to attend David’s major celebration isn’t the only thing to blame for the current rift, however, with Nicola having been rumoured to form beef with plenty of others around her in the past…

Beckham family

Many insiders say that Brooklyn and Nicola’s absence from David’s party was due to the presence of ’s girlfriend Kim Turnbull, whom in the past. Despite the crossed wires, the family is said to be blaming Nicola for the anti-Kim campaign, and fear she’s “controlling” Brooklyn completely.

“It all stinks of a control thing. The family are absolutely certain this is what happened this time round, that a drama was created and Brooklyn doesn’t feel he can turn up to see his family… He's a kind boy who clearly doesn't feel he can stand up to Nicola."

Away from the main family rift, Victoria and Nicola have never quite seen eye to eye - with insiders saying things have "not been the same" between Brooklyn and his parents since how wife-to-be entered the scene.

It was during wedding planning that the tension amped up, with Victoria as her firstborn got prepared to tie the knot. The major point of contention came as Nicola's family – headed by American businessman Nelson Peltz, 82, who is worth a reported £1.3billion – took care of all the planning.

As a result, a £3million ceremony was held at one of the Peltz’s family homes – a £76million oceanfront mansion in Miami - when Victoria reportedly wanted the wedding to be held closer to home.

During the big day, in the middle of her wedding reception after Victoria "stole" her first dance, with the bride "crying her eyes out" - the first dance was planned to be You Sang To Me, sung live by US singer Marc Anthony, but was switched "at the request of Victoria."

During the ceremony, it was also noted that Nicola had opted to wear couture Valentino dress despite the initial plan being for her to wear a specially-made dress designed by Victoria.

At the time, she suggested that Victoria had let her down, explaining: “Well, I was planning on wearing Victoria’s wedding dress. I was truly so excited to be able to wear a design that my future mother-in-law created. We connected to start designing the dress, and then a few days went by and I didn’t hear anything. Victoria called my mom and said her atelier couldn’t make it.

The sartorial wars aren’t yet over, and last month as she sported a custom corset for her 51st birthday - and the corset was originally designed for Nicola.

Nicola wore the corset at the premiere of her film Lola last year, and in April 2024, she shared a throwback photo with Victoria to mark her 50th birthday, writing, “Happy Birthday to my beautiful MIL.” This year, Brooklyn and Nicola didn’t publicly mark his mum’s birthday at all.

Cruz Beckham

Aside from Brooklyn’s tension with Romeo over Kim, with the brothers apparently not speaking at present, younger brother Cruz has waded into the argument and seemingly sided with the rest of the family.

Cruz was at David’s party with his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, and shared many snaps from the star-studded restaurant bash. One photo showed Cruz cheekily jokingly holding a knife towards Jackie, with the singer posting the photo alongside others and writing: “I wish you could feel how much love was in the room these days through the phone.” While it was a sweet message, fans have speculated that it was also a at those who didn’t show up.

Wedding planners

Not only did Victoria and Nicola apparently butt heads over the 2022 wedding, but Nicola and her dad’s actions resulted in a very long legal battle with the planners.

Nicola went through three event organisers after two couldn't meet the "scale" of what the actress had hoped for, and her dad , claiming they failed to return a deposit of $159,000 (£125,000) after they were sacked.

Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba of Plan Design Events counter-sued, disclosing hundreds of texts that they claimed showed "unreasonable" demands from the Peltz family. The documents, obtained by the Daily Mail, claim that Nelson was acting like a "billionaire bully" and became so frustrated with the chaotic planning that he wanted to cancel the wedding but his wife Claudia begged him not to as it would "destroy Nicola's career".

Nelson also shared screenshots of text messages sent between Nicola, Arianna and Nicole, one of which saw Nicola say she was "tired of catching mistakes” made by Nicole and Arianna after they stated one guest responded to say he would be in attendance - despite the guest speaking to Nicola on a private basis.

A documentary, Peltz Beckhams vs The Planners, came out in 2023 to delve into the drama, with those speaking out in it and a "very, very insecure individual who is insecure of their career.” The case was only .

Maids and butlers

Before getting with Brooklyn, Nicola first became embroiled in drama when anonymous claims emerged from former staff about her treatment of people working at her family home - but her family has firmly denied the claims.

"Peltz's youngest daughter routinely threatens maids that she will have her father fire them if they don't do as she asks," Gawker reported at the time Nicola was in her teens, according to . "She's hardly bluffing. Her last nanny was reportedly hauled out of the house by two beefy bodyguards after the girl decided she didn't care much for her,” a source told the outlet, adding that Nicola would “threaten” the staff "as a sport".

After the Peltz lawyers got involved, housekeeping recruiter Adrian Barrie Smith came forward to say that he’d made the claims after his contract wasn’t paid by the family.

Maria Rosalina Sampaio, known as Gina, worked as a nanny for Nicola, and following her death in 2020 her nephew came forward to say that the claims weren’t true. "The relationship was amazing. Gina was like a mother to Nicola and she was like her daughter," he told the , adding that the heiress travelled to Brazil to visit Gina after she retired.

Nicola also wrote an emotional tribute to Gina when she died in 2020, sharing photos of herself and her nanny and penning: "Gina was a second mother to me, my love for her was never ending [and] overflowing."
