Peace lily plants, scientifically known as Spathiphyllum, are celebrated for their striking white blooms and lush green leaves, becoming an indoor favourite. These low-maintenance beauties thrive indoors when given the right care and can consistently produce flowers throughout the year, with each bloom boasting a lifespan of well over a month.
Finding the perfect spot for peace lilies is key since they depend heavily on the right light conditions to flourish fully. A Gardening UK page post shows Joanne Millward seeking advice: "Fell in love with the peace lily after seeing some posts on them.

"Sent it to my husband and he got me one. I love it. Now I'm just after some advice on how to look after it and the best place to sit her."
Seasoned gardeners from the group chimed in with a unanimous verdict that these plants require bright but indirect sunlight to prosper.
Offering tips from personal experience, Sue Merry advised: "Lots of light but not direct sunlight, only water when soil becomes dryish. I water mine once a week. Water from the bottom, not the top."
Helen Davies added her two cents about the plant's hydration needs: "Peace lilies are very thirsty. Water as soon as you see the leaves lower, but ideally not droop as that creates stress for the plant.
"They like a spot that is just back from very sunny. However, the best spot is one where they flower, for me it's in the hallway by the front door."
Coral Smith shared her long-term success story: "Mine is years old and I keep it just inside the front door which is patterned glass.
"We have four flowers at the moment but it never stops flowering in this spot." If you're planning to place your peace lilies near the entrance, make sure there are no drafts.
While peace lilies can survive in low-light conditions, they may not bloom as much, if at all, reports .
They thrive best in bright, filtered, indirect light. Along with drafts, direct sunlight should be avoided as it can scorch the leaves of the peace lily.
For those looking to expand their peace lily collection or want to be new owners, they can pick one up from Dobies for £10.98 or at Dunelm for £25 and it comes with a mister bottle.
