Tesla's Bumper Gift for India: Book Model-Y from Anywhere for Just ₹22,000

Tesla has brought exciting news for Indian buyers. Just days after its official announcement in India, the American electric car giant Tesla has opened nationwide online bookings for its Model-Y electric SUV. Now, anyone across India can book the vehicle by paying a token amount of ₹22,000.

Book from Anywhere in India

Tesla made this announcement on its official handle on X (formerly Twitter), stating that bookings are no longer limited to select cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Gurugram, and Pune. Interested customers can now place orders directly through Tesla’s website. However, Tesla clarified that the ₹22,000 token amount is non-refundable. Within a week of booking, buyers must make an additional deposit of ₹3 lakh to confirm the order.

Delivery Timeline

While Tesla has not specified exact delivery dates, the company stated that deliveries are expected between October and December 2025.

Tesla Model-Y Variants and Pricing

Tesla has launched two variants of the Model-Y in India:

• Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD):

  • Price: ₹59.89 lakh (ex-showroom)

  • Range: 574 km (claimed)

• All-Wheel Drive (AWD):

  • Price: ₹67.89 lakh (ex-showroom)

  • Range: 527 km (claimed)

Currently, all units are being imported as Completely Built Units (CBUs), as Tesla does not have a manufacturing plant in India yet. However, the company plans to expand its presence by opening a new showroom in Delhi’s Aerocity.
