He said, "After drinking the water of 56 ghats, I love my motherland very much." His wife is American, yet he has never applied for a green card or US citizenship. Annu Kapoor said, "I will live on an Indian passport all my life."

Did not take citizenship even after having an American wife: Annu Kapoor, while introducing his love, said that his wife Anupama Patel was born in America, and their three children were also born in America. Despite this, Annu Kapoor never thought of taking American citizenship. He said that seeing the happiness of his family, he did not feel any need for a green card.
