Apple AirPods Black Friday deals: Which AirPods will be discounted in 2024?

Apple's AirPods have been a big hit for the company, cutting the cord and introducing people to the world of true wireless headphones.

Apple currently has four versions of the AirPods, but you'll generally pay more than you will for other brands of earbuds. Because of that, is a great time to buy yourself a new set of AirPods, as prices are often reduced across all models - especially if you're happy with something a little older.

We're still a month away from the Black Friday sales officially starting, but it's worth preparing yourself so you can snap up a deal when you spot one.

That's the key question. Apple has recently announced , which update the AirPods 3 that were launched back in 2021. The AirPods 4 are the least likely to get a big discount because they are the newest Apple headphones.

However, the AirPods 3 could be in for a bumper deal - the lowest price they have been is £134, which is more than the price of the NEW AirPods 4. So I definitely have my eyes on those for a price correction - and Black Friday is likely to deliver a low price on AirPods 3. Bear in mind that they still use a Lightning connector, so that's a little less convenient - but they are available with MagSafe wireless charging.

The AirPods Pro 2, however, are a better proposition. First of all they offer great noise cancelling, but Apple is - so these headphones have plenty of appeal and I'll be keeping my eyes out for discounts on these too.

The AirPods Max, Apple's impressive over-ear headphones, have also been updated with USB-C for charging rather than Lightning. Again, I'd expect the older models to be discounted, so it's likely there will be some good deals to be had.

Here are the lowest prices that we've seen on AirPods over recent sales events, just so you know what to look out for:

  • AirPods 3 (lowest price £134)
  • AirPods Pro 2 (lowest price £189)
  • AirPods Max (lowest price £413)

If you can't wait until Black Friday, here are the best prices that you'll find on Apple's AirPods right now. We're expecting these prices to drop once we hit the Black Friday sales - and of course we'll update when those deals land.

AirPods is the name that Apple gives to its line of headphones, which are designed to work seamlessly with its other devices. Once you've connected your AirPods to your , for example, they will be there to connect to your iPad or Mac too, which saves pairing with each device you want to use it with.

That's what originally gave AirPods their appeal, but the white design with stems have also become somewhat iconic, as much a fashion accessory as they are an iPhone accessory. For the AirPods Max, they are seen on the heads of trend-setting fitness influencers as much as they are in the business class cabin on long haul flights.

You can now get active noise cancelling (ANC) skills at all levels of AirPods (with the new AirPods 4 coming in two versions, one with ANC and one without), while spatial audio - designed to make your audio sound more immersive - is supported across the range.

They don't just work with iPhone either: AirPods will happily connect to Bluetooth on any phone, laptop or tablet.

If you're looking for something a little cheaper, or you fancy something with a different design or class-leading noise cancelling, then there are plenty of options. They will all connect to Apple devices and while they might not seamlessly connect to your other Apple tech without a prompt, there are some really strong options from
