Coronation Street viewers believe they've deciphered the true identity of Dee-Dee Bailey's latest romantic interest.
Soap darling Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) has experienced a tumultuous year on the cobbles. Last year, she was betrothed to solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill), who met his end in September after his heinous crimes were revealed.
Viewers will remember his history of grooming and abusing young girls, including Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton). Joel's dark side was eventually unmasked, and by the end of September, his body was discovered in a local river.
Several locals became suspects, including Dee-Dee, but it was ultimately revealed that Lauren was his killer.
Despite Joel's death, Dee-Dee's ordeal didn't conclude there as she discovered she was carrying his child. Determined to sever all ties, Dee-Dee planned to hand over the baby to her brother James (Jason Callender), reports Leicestershire Live.
In March, Dee-Dee gave birth to baby Laila following a traumatic delivery that resulted in significant blood loss and a hysterectomy.
Initially, Dee-Dee found it difficult and was conflicted about whether to keep Laila. However, recent scenes have shown Dee-Dee forming a bond with the little girl she initially gave up.
Adding to the drama, this week she went behind James' back to have Laila christened, disregarding his religious beliefs. When James found out, he was furious.
In Friday's episode (July 11), Dee-Dee found herself engaged in conversation at the Rovers with a mysterious newcomer named Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike). He charmed her with an offer to buy her a drink, and the chemistry was undeniable.
Yet, as a potential new romance seems to be brewing between Dee-Dee and Ollie, eagle-eyed fans have 'sussed out' his real agenda - and it's set to leave Dee-Dee devastated.

On a Coronation Street Facebook fan group, speculation is rife, with one member asking: "What do we think of Ollie then?" Another pondered: "Something suspicious about him, can't put my finger on it."
A third suggested: "I think he might have known Joel and is out to get revenge."
Echoing this theory, another commented: "That's a good shout one of his dodgy lawyer friends maybe." And yet another agreed: "Oh yeah could be."
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
