Driver shares what strange feature on best-selling hatchback is really for

An automotive expert has taken to TikTok to share a useful feature that many owners of a popular new hatchback may be completely unaware of.

Cameron runs the TikTok channel ProductReviewCars and regularly appears in videos to show practical features that can be found in the latest models.

In a popular video, Cameron highlights that the Volkswagen Polo has a useful parking ticket holder that is hiding in plain sight.

He explained: "This Volkswagen Polo will help you not lose your parking ticket or any other important cards.

"There is a card holder right here in front of the gear shifter, and that means you can take a card like this and put it in there and you won't lose it. Hopefully, that saves you a bit of money from having to pay for any parking tickets."

Whilst many owners may think that the slot, which can be found in front of the gearstick, was added to give the Volkswagen a little more style, Cameron highlighted that it can be used to store important cards.

He highlighted that this can be incredibly useful when a driver is parking their car, preventing them from having to pay a high amount for losing their ticket.

However, owners could also use the feature to store loyalty or membership cards that they may wish to use when they are behind the wheel, particularly when visiting the shops or filling the tank with fuel.

Despite being originally launched in 1975, the Volkswagen Polo remains a popular choice for new car buyers looking for an economical supermini.
