Fans of the Duchess of Sussex have praised Meghan for the outfit worn in her American Independence Day video, which they think was chosen for a very special reason. Meghan Markle uploaded a video celebrating the American holiday by creating a fruit platter in her kitchen.
However, the Duchess of Sussex's attire was what caught the attention of eagle-eyed fans, as they noticed her blue and white striped shirt was worn on a very special occasion when she was a working royal. Meghan's shirt was worn when she attended Wimbledon alongside Princess Kate in July 2018, a few months after she married Prince Harry.
The prestigious tennis tournament is currently being played in London, and will end on Sunday July 13. One fan on X, exclaimed: "I love Meghan in shirt, looks as good as it did years ago when she wore it at Wimbledon." Meghan's chic shirt was by one of her favourite designers, Ralph Lauren, and the top cost £515 at the time.

A fourth fan said: "Meghan brought back the 2018 white and blue striped wimbledon top for a fourth of july post."
In the video, Meghan demonstrated chic tailoring with a spread collar, rolled-up sleeves, and a slightly oversized fit. While Meghan's exact shirt is no longer available - it was a past-season piece - Express.co.uk has found a purse-friendly alternative from Boden.
Meanwhile, Meghan wished her fans a "happy" American Independence Day in her latest videos uploaded onto her Instagram account. The Duchess of Sussex decided to create an unusual fruit platter, consisting of strawberries, watermelon, cherries, blueberries and cheese in the colours of the American flag to celebrate the holiday.
Meghan captioned her post: "Red, white and blue.... and easy to do! Happy 4th friends. Be safe, have fun." Meghan also used a series of emojis, including an American flag and red, white and blue hearts.
The upbeat song accompanying the video was by The Andrews Sisters and titled 'Boogie, Woogie, Bugle Boy'.
