Oscar Branning is set for a dramatic return to Walford after an eight-year absence.
Pierre Moullier steps into the shoes of Max and Tanya Branning's son, previously portrayed by Charlee Hall until his last appearance in 2017.
The role was originally played by Gabriel Miller-Williams from 2007 to 2008 before Neo Hall took the reins until 2015.
Now aged 17, Oscar is poised to stir up trouble on Albert Square with his comeback slated for this summer.
His previous stint saw him visit his father Max Branning (Jake Wood) on Father's Day, eight years ago, reports Belfast Live.
The reasons behind his return and his whereabouts will unfold following a cryptic call received by Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa), leading to chaos in his sister's life.
Pierre Moullier expressed his excitement about joining EastEnders: "It's pretty surreal to join EastEnders - it keeps hitting me that I'm actually on Albert Square."
He enthused about the Branning family's iconic status and hinted at Oscar's intriguing character: "When I found out I was joining the Brannings, it was so exciting as they are such an iconic family and I love that there are so many skeletons in the closet.

"Oscar is so much fun to play and the audience should be prepared for the unexpected as he's a complex guy."
Ben Wadey, EastEnders Executive Producer, shared his enthusiasm: "I'm very excited to bring Oscar Branning back to Walford and introduce viewers to him now that he's all grown up."
He teased the drama ahead: "Oscar is very much a Branning which means there's going to be plenty of drama in store this summer.
"We're delighted to welcome Pierre as he takes on the role and ca''t wait for viewers to see him bring Oscar to life."
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and available to stream on BBC iPlayer from 6am
