GB News star skewers Keir Starmer over Taylor Swift meeting as 'bad news keeps coming'

GB News presenters and Isabel Webster ripped into the Labour party today after reports that Keir Starmer actually met up with pop star Taylor Swift. The hosts of the news show said that "it sends a worrying signal to the government" as "bad news keeps coming" for the current Prime Minister.

It has emerged that the and her mum for 10 minutes, discussing the tragic Southport stabbings. Sir Keir and his family were given free tickets to the concert on 20 August, which were declared as required, and have since been paid back.

As well as the meeting, the singing sensation was said to have been given through London which the government are claiming was "an operational decision" by the Met Police.

A blue-light escort is typically reserved for senior members of the Royal Family and high-level politicians, as it comes at huge expense to the taxpayer.

However, defending the decision, Angela Rayner told press: "We needed to make sure that that person was safe. And it was a policing matter, not an issue for politicians. It was the police that make the decision.

"It's right that they make the decision. And I fully support them in that."

Today, on GB News, Isabel pointed out that the news has been reported right across the front pages of newspapers across the nation - including those that are left wing.

She said: "It just goes to show that this government does not have a grip of their narrative at the minute."

The show then welcomed on guest Katherine Forster who agreed that things "did not look good" for the Labour party. She said: "This really doesn't look good. When this is on the front page of even The Guardian, then it sends a worrying signal to the government."

The show guest added: "The optics of this for the government are not good at all, at a time when it's trying to move on from scandals like 'freebiegate', dresses, money for spectacles and free tickets. The bad news just seems to keep on coming."

Fans of the show agreed, as they posted to Twitter with their thoughts. One wrote: "The question should be. Who paid for her blue light run? Given we have this big financial black hole."

Another added: "Needs escalating - must not be swept under the carpet - corruption pure & simple."
