Susanna Reid aired a special breaking news segment on Thursday's Good Morning Britain to issue updates about Hurricane Milton in Florida.
The presenter, 53, said: "120mph, a life-threatening storm surge of up to 13 feet of water is also predicted and residents who refuse to evacuate are being told to write their names on their arms.
"These are pictures people are posting on social media and the chilling reason for this is this is so they can be identified if they don't survive the storm" as this prompted co-host Ed Balls to remark: "Goodness!"
