
A multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday 16 April caused the M2 to close near Maidstone, leading to significant traffic delays.
Police confirmed two cars collided and a woman was taken to hospital.
The crash occurred on the eastbound carriage towards the coast, from Junction 2 for Strood and Rochester to Junction 3 for Chatham.
A vehicle was reportedly seen on fire following the incident.
Traffic information service Inrix said: "M2 coastbound closed, queueing traffic due to vehicle fire and serious accident, multiple vehicles involved from J2 A228 Sundridge Hill (Strood/Rochester) to J3 (Chatham/Rochester)."
