Chaos has broken out on the M6 following a multi-vehicle collision that left eight people injured on Monday morning.
Emergency services are at the scene of the crash, which was reported to police between junctions 32 and 33 of the southbound carriageway at around 10:27am.
Police have warned that the motorway and A6 junction will remain shut "for some time" as investigations are carried out.
Eight people have been taken to hospital for treatment, according to reports, with five sustaining serious injuries, including one child.
