The TV adaptation which first aired a decade ago has been hailed the "best ever" by fans, who have recently tuned into the series that is available to stream on the BBC. There have been several adaptations ofAgatha Christie's "masterpiece" mystery novel published in 1939. One of the best-selling novels of all time, it has remained one of Christie's most popular works. Her gripping whodunnit has shifted an eye-watering 100 million copies worldwide. And Then There Were None has spurred numerous adaptions ultimately shaping the crime and mystery genres. The BBC's riveting three-part series featured several British stars including Poldark actor, Aidan Turner, who plays Charles. The plot sees 10 strangers, including an ailing judge, Justice Lawrence Wargrave (Charles), a dodgy mercenary, Philip Lomabard (Aidan Turner), a Bible-reading spinster, Miss Emily Brent (Miranda Richardson), and troubled Harley Street doctor, Edward Armstrong (Toby Stephens) - invited to a party on a remote island off the coast of Devon.
Also starring in the series are Douglas Booth, Anna Maxwell Martin, Burn Gorman and Sam Neill. As the group awaits the arrival of their hosts - Mr and Mrs UN Owen - the weather takes a dramatic turn and the 10 guests now find themselves isolated on the Devon coast. The guests are killed one by one in accordance with the nursery rhyme Ten Little Soldier Boys that is displayed in every room. The rhyme closes with the words: "... and then there were none."
Fans are still praising the series which was released in 2015 and has received a 91 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes.

A fourth said: "And There Was None is a great twisted psychological thriller that trick us and that captivates the spectator since the first moment. Original and unpredictable are the best words to describe this Agatha Christie's masterpiece."
Expressing their admiration, a fifth added: "Hands down the best adaptation of Agatha Christie."
