A mum has said she was "gobsmacked" after seeing a restaurant employee appearing to tuck into a customer's meal.
The mum, who did not wish to be named, claimed she saw a worker in Marsh, Huddersfield, take a sip from a drink she believed was being prepared for collection.
After seeing the act on April 27, she said she was left unimpressed and is now preparing to file a complaint with the vendor.
While waiting at the counter, she said a male member of staff was pouring a cup of Pepsi but took a sip of the beverage before placing a lid on top and "sliding it forward" as if to serve to a customer.
The Yorkshire mum said she could not believe what she had seen and that she confronted two members of staff about the incident, but claimed one denied it had happened and both were laughing.
She added: "Both refused to give their names and started to laugh."
While this occurred, the member of staff who allegedly took a sip of the drink moved to the rear of the kitchen and would not speak to her.
A KFC spokesperson told the customer's concerns were being taken seriously and the restaurant's team was in touch with her and aimed to resolve her complaint.
They said: "We're sorry to hear about this customer's experience and are taking the claims made seriously.
"The restaurant team is in contact with the customer, and we're working hard to understand exactly what happened and resolve the issue as quickly as possible."
