Denis Villeneuve has been hired to direct the next James Bond movie and the latest rumour is that the likes of Tom Holland, Harris Dickinson and Jacob Elordi are in the running to replace Daniel Craig as 007.
These three are among the stars with the best odds in the bookies' race, which should be taken with a pinch of salt.
In the latest from Betfred's Robert Ford: "The ever-changing next James Bond betting market has another huge development, with favourite Aaron Taylor-Johnson cementing his place at the head of the odds, moving into odds-on (8/11) from even money.
"This is the shortest price that Taylor-Johnson, who's held top spot on numerous occasions, has had for a number of months and has moved even further away from former favourite Theo James in second place.
"The majority of other names near the head of the market remain unmoved, except for Happy Valley star James Norton, who's also received backing in the past few days, resulting in his odds being slashed to 7/1 from 10s."
Also in the bookies' race are the following: Theo James at 9/4, Scott Rose-Marsh at 5/2, Aaron Pierre at 5/1, Henry Cavill at 11/2, Tom Holland at 6/1, James Norton at 7/1, Jack Lowden at 15/2, Harris Dickinson at 9/1, Josh O'Connor at 10/1, Jacob Elordi at 10/1, Austin Butler at 10/1. Hopefully, the new 007 star will be announced later this year before shooting begins in 2026.
