's decision to leave her senior role within the Royal Family "exposed" her to "cutting" remarks recently made by author Tina Brown, it has been suggested.
The former Vanity Fair editor recently launched a scathing attack against the Duchess of Sussex, and that Prince Harry shouldn't have "blindly" followed her when they stepped down as senior working royals in early 2020.
Speaking of Meghan - and Tina's comments - the 's Charlotte Griffiths said during the latest episode of Palace Confidential that, by stepping down from the Firm, Meghan was left exposed to such "cutting" remarks.
She claimed to host Jo Elvin: "I think there's a certain level of deferential behaviour from the tabloid newspapers towards the working members of the Royal Family and they're working so they kind of get a little bit of respect... so you don't go to town on the royals.
"I just wonder whether Meghan had thought that through when she decided to leave that, yes, she can now be on the other side of the pond saying horrible things about our Royal Family but that has made her completely exposed to really cutting remarks and Tina really laid into her."
